1) I am still without reliable broadband but this should be fixed this week. Cross your fingers.
2) I have just spent the weekend in the hospital where I was threatened with a lumbar puncture *shudder* and received a femoral stab (ouch). Please send prayers and good thoughts if you can spare them. I want my life back. Thank you.

You know how I said I’d have internet again on the 23rd? Lies. Trying to figure out a) why we were disconnected too early, b) why we couldn’t get it turned back on right away, c) why we were promised it would be on the 23rd, d) why it wasn’t on the 23rd and we were assured there was “no way on this planet” that it would be, e) why we were told it would be another week to get it turned on, f) why when we called to cancel, they told us it *should* have been on on the 23rd was so frustrating that we’ve switched ISPs. And they? Have a lead time of 14 days. We’re looking at the 13th now, which means a month without internet at home.
Thank goodness for free wifi.
