My view on the new year is something of an odd one. Samhain is the new year but you sort of have until December 31st to tie up loose ends. Because I am constantly running around like a chicken sans head and days like Christmas and New Year’s tend to sneak up on me, this whole warning two months in advance helps me.
And so 2008 is coming to a close. It was better than 2007 which was a million times better than 2006. So that’s good. I have a lot to show for this year and a lot that happened that doesn’t show. I didn’t finish my book(s) in progress but we did move house (FINALLY!). I got well into photography and let the jewelry making slide. Time seems to be the key. In 365 days one can only do so much. Because unlike the rather extreme work ethic instilled in me by my father (rest is for the weak, etc) I have learned that life works on a series of balances. If thing y takes up energy then thing x has to give. This year has taught me that much at least.
Have a wonderful and properous new year filled with free yarn and lots of good things.
